About us
Based on the sound graphic design skills of our founder we are especially keen on graphicly striking prints. In the current wallpaper market we missed the graphics, so we decided to start a company providing them. Each of our designs is crafted by artists, whether they are from historical periods or contemporary times.
Sustainability
The Capybara Papers is committed to minimising its ecological footprint and to operate in a socially responsable way. We do not stock wallpaper, so there is no overproduction or spillage. Our wallpaper is environmentally friendly produced and is PVC- and vinyl free. It doesn’t stink.
The base of our wallpaper meets the Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 standard. Used toners are also produced completely CO2-free. Also, our wallpaper is free of formaldehyde and other volatile substances that can be harmful to the environment and health.
The premises where the wallpaper is produced is heated with the waste heat from our wallpaper production. As far as paper waste is concerned, our wallpaper supplier is a so-called Paper for Paper Gold Partner. This means that the waste goes back to the paper mill, where new paper is produced again.
We are using various measures to reduce environmental impact (for example using 100% Dutch wind energy for the hosting of this website) and we strive towards maximal sustainability in every step of our production process.
